Research and Community Service Activities Undertaken by TUMA During the 2024/2025 Academic Year

As one of her core functions, Tumaini University Makumira (TUMA) has been dynamically engaged in a a number of research projects and community service activities, that have addressed a wide range of societal concerns and needs. While the research projects have, invariably, contributed in innovativeness and knowledge creation and production that have gained local and international recognition; the community service aspects of the projects have connected TUMA with the surrounding communities and have, thus, backed such communities’ development agendas. We present herein, a summary of such research projects and community service initiatives carried out by TUMA for the year 2024/2025. The summaries indicate the research/community service titles, names of researchers, the links to the projects/services, and status of each activity. Naturally, the summary for one major project that was faculty-wide collaborative research endeavoris longer, and those for the rest that were organized through the initiative of individual academic staff members are shorter.
